Family winery of Peter Matyšák was founded in 1989. Nowadays modern winemaking was built from scratch in 2002 in a part of Pezinok called Glejovka. Cellar is equipped with a state-of-the-art technology enabling wine production of the top quality. In 2006 a separate cellar for wine ripening in oak and barrique barrels was added to winemaking.

Original name SELECTION DE PRESTIGE represents a selective harvest of vineyard and regardful processing of high-grade attribute grapes through innovative technologies and methods of vinification. Sensorial qualities of wine are in respectful sync with used varieties, they develop the specific nuances of every year’s volume in behalf of real degustation delight. Except for quality wines with attribute and late-harvest wines, you can find berry selection wines, natural sweet raisin selection wines, and precious straw and ice wines in limited volumes in this collection.

Winery Víno Matyšák is the only winemaking in Slovakia producing fortified wine of Port type. These modified wine ripen in oak barrels by dint of fermenting worts, and adequate portion of oxygen after adding ingenious wine distillate for 4-10 years. Throughout this process they gain impulsive elegance and characteristic flamy style.
